The General Assembly of the Saaed Society to Reduce Traffic Accidents will convene on Monday November 16 at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations in Abu Dhabi Police and Chairman of Saaed Society will preside over the General Assembly, which will tackle the future plan and past projects already accomplished within the strategy that aims at developing communication means and increasing the level of traffic safety.
Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri, Chief of the Public Relations Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police and CEO of Saaed Society, explained that the General Assembly will discuss the board of directors’ report about the council’s term of office activities, and will approve the draft budget for the new year the final accounts of the fiscal year, in addition to a number of topics on the Society’s agenda that are of interest to road users.
Colonel Al Ameri explained that Saaed Society’s board of directors has endeavored to adopt a comprehensive methodology and vision for traffic safety volunteer work and highlighting the society’s role as a public benefit non-profit organization to prevent traffic accidents and their resulting deaths and injuries leading to negative social and economic impacts on all aspects of life. The society has also focused its efforts to enhance communication with different segments of society to spread the culture of traffic safety.
