The Police College celebrated the close of activities for Security 7, a specialized training program held to enhance security awareness amongst the male and female participants. The program was organized by the college and represented by the Relations and Guidance Section in cooperation and coordination with the police departments and sections; Emirates Public Relations Association (EPRA); and Takatof, the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development.
The program, in its seventh consecutive year, is part of the strategic plan established by the Relations and Guidance Section at the Police College.
The week-long Security 7 program consisted of several educational lectures related to police work, and included field visits to various police departments. Participants received a plentitude of security-related information aimed at enhancing cooperation between community members and the police. A total of 55 males and females participated in the program, of whom are affiliated with and representatives of the Emirates Red Crescent; the Emirates Public Relations Association; the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque; the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development; SANID; and the Family Development Foundation.
On behalf of the participants, Ghada Abdulrahman Al Ghous, director of the Emirates Public Relations Association, expressed her deepest thanks and appreciation to the officials of the Police College. During her speech, she thanked the officials for organizing such an integral program that contributed to enhancing the level of security awareness amongst the male and female participants of the Security 7 program.
In the presence of department heads, chiefs of sections, and a large number of college officers; Major Al Shamesi and Colonel Saif Al Ketbi, the director of the Police College, honored the lecturers and entities that contributed to implementing the training program, and distributed certificates to the participants.
