Under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), attended the 6th group wedding organized by the Ministry of Interior for 58 of its nationwide staff members. The event, held on Monday evening at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi, was organized by the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Marriage Fund.
Attending the group wedding were Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director General of Protective Security at the Ministry of Interior; Rashid Obaid Al Kashf, Board Member of the Marriage Fund; Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadhi, Acting Head of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior; as well as a number of MoI officers; the families and relatives of the grooms and brides; and a large gathering of guests.
In his statement, Lt. General Al Sha’far said: “Group weddings are important societal issues, which require concerted efforts to encourage marriage amongst UAE citizens, and embody the social responsibility principles upheld across public and private institutions.”
Adding further, Lt. General Al Sha’far said, “Group weddings are an exemplary noble idea that instills the values of love, cooperation and solidarity for the benefit of community. Organizing this successful and distinguished initiative for the sixth consecutive year consecrates the authentic family values in the younger generations of UAE society.”
“This wedding aims at mitigating the burdens suffered by young couples looking to get married, and alleviate the relevant financial costs for the sake of building coherent families. It embodies the Ministry of Interior’s true spirit of societal partnership and affirms its humanitarian contributions,” indicated Lt. General Al Sha’far.
In conclusion, Lt. The participation of the Marriage Fund in this national occasion reflects our keenness to leave a distinguished mark, and show our loyalty and love for this elite group of the country’s citizens. Al Kashf praised the generous patronage of HH Sheikh Saif of the event, which reflects the efforts of the higher leadership to alleviate the difficulties impeding young Emirati couples from establishing families and securing a stable and decent family life “His Highness’ patronage of the event also reflects the keenness to provide care and attention to young Emirati citizens, via the countless services and social care programs, in addition to the various privileges granted to them.
