Abu Dhabi Residency Honors the Quality Team and Al Dhabyaniah Committee

The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi reiterated the police leadership’s keenness to motivate all employees at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector who submit creative ideas and suggestions and to encourage them to exert additional efforts in the career excellence process, in a bid to encourage and boost the spirit of creativity and innovation that would inspire constructive ideas that contribute to developing police work. 

These comments were made by Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, during the ceremony recently hosted by the directorate on the occasion of the World Quality Day in the presence of department heads, chiefs of sections and a number of officers. During the ceremony, Colonel Al Zaabi honored Colonel Yusuf Ismail Al Khouri, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and the directorate’s quality team, in recognition of their distinguished participation in updating and upgrading the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system. He also honored the winners of the quality competition and the best presentation about quality.

Colonel Al Zaabi stressed the unrelenting commitment of the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi to achieve quality and excellence as per the latest systems in customer service, which embodies the Ministry of Interior’s strategy aimed at achieving sustainable and continuous development.

Moreover, he honored Al Dhabyaniah Committee, which is specialized in women’s affairs at the Directorate; in recognition of their efforts in various events and activities. He presented certificates of appreciation and gifts to the Committee’s chairwoman and members, praising their efforts in the service of the community.

In conclusion, Colonel Al Zaabi added that this accolade aims at motivating and supporting the committee to empower women, boost their status and urge them to exert further efforts. He also stressed the directorate general’s keenness to support all initiatives that bring greater happiness for women and other segments of society, in line with the higher leadership directives in this regard.

The ceremony was attended by Captain Majid Abdullah Al Tamimi, Chief of Media and Public Relations Section and a number of officers.

It is worth mentioning that the Committee is in charge of examining all issues and topics related to women at the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi. It also represents female officers in the different events and conferences related to women in the UAE and abroad. Its tasks include establishing  objectives and operational plans for initiatives and programs that achieve the goals and support the work of women; updating and developing these objectives and plans in cooperation with the concerned institutions; building a network of relations to achieve communication and dialogue with institutions concerned with women’s family and societal issues in order  to contribute to enhancing the sense of belonging and loyalty; in addition to preparing and supervising social activities and awareness for women and the family, which fall under the teachings of Islam, and are part of the UAE customs and traditions.
