Al Sha’far Reviews “Ajman Safe City” Project

Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, reviewed the workflow and services provided by Ajman Police General Headquarters (GHQ) across its various departments, as well as its achievements.

He also reviewed the results of the leadership’s achievements in 2015, including indicators related to various forensic fields, disturbing crimes, traffic indicators, and mortality from traffic and run over accidents. Lt. General Al Sha’far also examined the strategic initiatives that were fully applied in 2015, the annual updated inspection system, electronic systems, and the smart services which were achieved and developed in the police, such as the happiness indicator and smartphone services via the police application.

This came during an inspection visit conducted by Lt. General Al Sha’far to the Ajman Police GHQ, where he was greeted by Brigadier Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police; Brigadier Mohamed Abdullah Alwan, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman; along with heads of departments at the Ajman Police GHQ.

On the same note, Lt. General Al Sha’far inspected the traffic patrol drone developed to detect areas before raids and to search for the drowned and missing. Lt. General Al Sha’far also reviewed the leadership ambassadors’ project for qualifying and developing staff members’ skills. This project aims to turn staff members into representatives of the leadership, thus enhancing its image and reputation.

For his part, Brigadier Al Nuaimi briefed the attendees on the “Ajman Safe City” project, which transforms the city of Ajman into a smart city managed through modern techniques and systems, with 450 high-tech cameras and analytical programs connected to the operations room in the headquarters. “This project aims to promote security in the emirate, control crime and activate traffic control so as to achieve the strategic targets of making the UAE one of the best countries in the world in terms of safety and security,” he stressed.

Lt. General Al Sha’far praised the progress attained by Ajman Police in using the world's best technologies and smart systems. “We must carry on with this approach through using and installing smart devices to encourage continuous improvement,” he added.

Furthermore, he praised Ajman police’s outstanding efforts, which have achieved the highest standards of stability, security and tranquility across the emirate’s entire population of citizens and residents.

Brigadier Al Nuaimi expressed his heartfelt thanks Lt. General Al Sha’far for his efforts in developing and supporting the work of security agencies in the country and his role in upgrading work in various fields. “These visits contribute to upgrade work, and encourage the exertion of further efforts to achieve the UAE government’s aspirations based on promoting security and safety,” he emphasized.

In conclusion, Brigadier Al Nuaimi underscored that Ajman Police operate according to an excellence methodology aiming to optimize security components in the emirate. “It also seeks through its work to achieve customer satisfaction, to develop mechanisms to communicate with the public and to raise the level of performance for its employees to provide the best services,” he said.
