In Recognition for Distinguished Participation

Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, stressed that the police strive to embody the vision and directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to reflect a civilized image of police work. This image is clearly presented in the participation of the police in local, international cultural and traditional events and activities that help showcase a bright image of national and traditional heritage.
He also stated that based on its institutional values and strategic vision in support of a cultural partnership and communication with society, the police leadership are proud of the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band. He also noted that the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band has always preserved the history of the police institution. “Today, the position of the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band is a continuation of a series of consecutive contributions from previous police generations,” he said.
Colonel Saif Saeed Al Shamesi, Chief of the Cultural and Social Activity Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Clubs and Sports Activities Department, presented Major General Badran with the certificates and commemorative gifts earned from the International Berlin Military Music Festival “Berlin Tattoo” 2014. The Abu Dhabi Police won the gifts in recognition for their distinguished participation during the festival.
Major General Badran praised the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band supervisors for their interest in social and cultural activities which was manifested in their active participation that won the admiration from the audience. He also stressed on the importance of exerting further efforts in order to serve the plans and strategies of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
For his part, Colonel Saif Saeed Al Shamesi said that the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band was well received by the audience of the festival and also attracted the attention of other participants of various nationalities and age groups. “The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band has earned a good reputation and has received a number of invitations to participate in significant international festivals,” he said.
