The Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Community Police Department, participated in the celebrations marking the International Workers’ Day, which were recently held in the Du Forum at Yas Island and at the ICAD labor camp in the Musaffah commercial area in Abu Dhabi. Festivities took place under the slogan “Our Workers … the Pulse of our Work”.
The Community Police Department congratulated the workers on this occasion. The department also stressed the commitment of the UAE to maintain workers’ rights, and highlighted the role of the Abu Dhabi Police to raise the awareness and educate workers in regards to the law and regulations that preserve these rights. On this occasion, a musical and cultural show took place with the participation of a number of Asian artists. Moreover, a number of officers from the Community Police distributed gifts and awareness brochures to the audience.
The two ceremonies were attended by Captain Juma’a Mohammed Al Badi Community Police Branch Manager at the Madinat Khalifa Police Station; and Juma Saeed Al Kaabi, CEO of the ICAD Residential City. Towards the end of the event, ICAD Residential City praised the keenness of the Community Police Department to celebrate this occasion and presented a commemorative shield to the Abu Dhabi Police in recognition of its efforts to interact and communicate within the context of community partnership.
It is worth mentioning that Abu Dhabi Police is keen to celebrate the International Workers’ Day, which annually coincides with the 1st of May. Participation in this event reflects the commitment of the police leadership to promote community partnership and communicate with this segment of society in a bid to preserve their rights and raise their awareness, which would have a positive impact on society.
