Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, November 9th 2016 [ME NewsWire]
MAKE Art Café, the flagship sub-brand of MAKE Business Café, is coming up on their first anniversary of successful operations in Alserkal Cultural Foundation in the Al Fahidi Historical District, Dubai. The anniversary comes amidst MAKE’s plans to further expand into the UAE and the wider GCC market.
Opened in November 2015, the MAKE Art Café runs its operations from the courtyard of a charming heritage villa in one of the most attractive heritage areas in the UAE, providing guests with an ideal serene space for quiet work or just to sit and read. The villa also includes a rooftop with a class room equipped with projectors and work tables capable of accommodating 10-12 guests, along with a library, a fashion pop-up store and a terrace seating area.
Clint Wilfred, Investor & Founder of MAKE, said: “It has been a successful year for MAKE Art Café, proving that the concepts applied by MAKE across its chain of cafés are viable and have gained wide acceptance. Despite our short existence, we have succeeded in building loyalty amongst our customer base, and we now have customers who consider our Café as their most preferred place.” He added: “The good and quick service, the gourmet food, the refreshing mocktails and specialty coffee all of which are served within an exceptional Emirati heritage location, has turned our Café into a unique destination for our guests. High satisfaction amongst our first-time or repeat visitors has encouraged us to eye further MAKE expansions in the UAE and the GCC, catering to the needs of wider segments of visitors.”
Alserkal Cultural Foundation, the host venue for MAKE Art Café, has a wide collection of various arts, both as exhibits and for sale. The venue also provides an excellent proposition for corporates to hold their company day event, team meetings and workshops.
For his part; Mohamed Aslum, Partner at MAKE noted: “The demand for the MAKE concept of business and co-working cafés has led us to plan further expansion, with the opening of a new MAKE Business Café on Sheikh Zayed Road scheduled in the first quarter of 2017. This new outlet will mark the GCC’s largest co-working café with over 8000 square feet of space and different zones for business events, workstations and a café area.”
The MAKE brand has opened its first MAKE Business Café in Kuwait last year, under a franchising agreement. The step comes in line with MAKE endeavors to further expand into other GCC countries through successful franchise models.
