The annual eSports events for CS: GO players of the Asia–Pacific region, eXTREMESLAND is having its Qualifier rounds across the Asia-Pacific region. The Middle East Qualifiers of the eXTREMESLAND ZOWIE Asia CS: GO 2016 kicked off last weekend, 11th & 12th August 2016 at Que Club in Dubai. 15 teams battled it out through offline competitions, with the Championship belonging to Team Risky.
The winning team beat Team RVN 2-1, making them the official representatives of the Middle East competing at the Grand Finals to take place in Shanghai, China, where a total prize pool of USD $100,000 is up for grabs. Third place in the Qualifiers went to Team BOT who added a competitive edge to the game last weekend.
This will be the first CS: GO event to have more than twenty teams from Asia Pacific competing in the play-offs in China. The first round of the Asia-Pacific qualifiers took place in Thailand in July, followed by the Middle East last weekend. The next round of the qualifiers is scheduled to take place in Bangalore, India.
