Patton’s split configuration domain on SmartNode E-SBCs enables secure touchless turn-up of BroadWorks SIP trunks with remote management all the way to the customer premise.
SmartNode™… More than just talk!
(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Next week at BroadSoft Connections, Patton Electronics—US-manufacturer of award-winning SmartNode™ VoIP solutions, CopperLink™ Ethernet Extenders, and BODI rS™ high-availability fixed & mobile routers—is unveiling its new automated-provisioning solution for BroadWorks SIP trunks using SmartNode enterprise session border controllers (E-SBCs) deployed as customer-premise equipment (CPE).
A new Patton white paper—to be promoted during next week’s event—details the cloud-based auto-provisioning solution for carrier-providers that features a market-leading deployment by Swisscom AG.
Integrating Patton’s Redirection Service for SmartNode VoIP devices with BroadSoft Device Management (DM), the Patton-BroadSoft solution enables automatic touchless turn-up of BroadWorks SIP trunk services upon power-up of the SmartNode E-SBC.
Patton’s newest E-SBC solution, the SmartNode 5300 Enterprise Session Border Router (ESBR), is ideal for carrier/service-providers like Swisscom that offer SIP-trunking service for Unified Communications (UC) based on BroadWorks. Boasting industry-renowned SmartNode set-it-forget-it reliability, the SN5300 provides a clear and secure WAN/LAN demarc with SIP-to-SIP normalization for up to 256 VoIP calls.
“SmartNode SBCs go far beyond simply avoiding the dreaded truck roll,” said Marc Aeberhard, SmartNode Product Manager. “Preventing subscriber complaints with high-quality voice, fax that works, fraud protection, voice-and-data survivability…these are just a few of the many SmartNode benefits that make business subscribers happy. Carriers like happy customers.”
Patton will also showcase the new SmartNode Open Gateway Appliance (SNOGA) at BroadSoft Connections. The SNOGA is an open hardware platform for Unix and Windows developers of Unified-Communications appliances that features a built-in SmartNode VoIP Gateway.
Industry-standard upstream and Patton’s DownStreamQoS™ are implemented in SmartNode products, ensuring high-quality voice within the subscriber premise, while the SmartNode SIP registrar feature preserves intra-office calling in case the Internet connection should fail.
SmartNode VoIP solutions—like all Patton products—come with Patton’s Gold-Standard Free Support at no additional charge. Patton’s Platinum-Plus Premium 24/7 Support is also available.
Meet Patton during 12-15 October 2014 at BroadSoft Connections in booth #8.
