Neutrogena®, Aveeno®, and Regaine® Present New Scientific Evidence Demonstrating How Science-Backed Ingredients Support Healthy Skin and Hair

 VIENNA - Wednesday, 30. September 2026 AETOSWire

Research shared at the 35th European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress highlights the benefits of multifunctional sunscreens, colloidal oat formulations addressing acne, hyperpigmentation, eczema, UV-related skin damage, and the impact of 5% minoxidil for alopecia.

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Neutrogena®, Aveeno®, and Regaine®* will present 12 new scientific data sets at the 35th European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress taking place September 30th through October 3rd in Vienna.

Abstracts presented will share new evidence demonstrating how science-backed ingredients including niacinamide, trehalose, colloidal oat and 5% minoxidil can help address some of the most common skin and hair concerns consumers experience, including acne, oily skin, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, eczema, UV-related skin damage and androgenetic alopecia.

The findings reinforce a growing body of evidence showing that innovative formulations can deliver benefits beyond traditional expectations by helping protect and strengthen the skin barrier, improve visible skin concerns, and support hair regrowth.

New Research Advances Understanding of Skin Health, Skin Barrier Function and Hair Regrowth

Consumers increasingly seek effective, science-backed solutions that address multiple concerns while fitting seamlessly into daily self-care routines. Research from Neutrogena®, Aveeno® and Regaine® demonstrates how targeted ingredients can provide measurable benefits for skin and hair health while supporting confidence and overall well-being.

"Consumers consistently tell us that healthy skin and healthy hair can have a meaningful impact on their confidence and quality of life," said Kate Stockman, Vice President and Head of EMEA Research & Development at Kenvue. "The research we are presenting at EADV advances our understanding of how ingredients such as niacinamide, colloidal oat and 5% minoxidil can support skin barrier health, improve visible skin concerns and promote hair regrowth, respectively. We are proud to continue partnering with the dermatology community to advance the science of skin and hair health through rigorous research and innovation."

Neutrogena® Research: Multifunctional Sunscreens Deliver Benefits Beyond UV Protection

Multifunctional sunscreen helps manage oily skin and reduce visible acne-related signs

Consumers are increasingly seeking sunscreens that deliver cosmetic and skin health benefits beyond UV protection. New researchi on Neutrogena® Ultra Sheer Invisible Fluid Sunscreen Oil Control 50+ demonstrates how a broad-spectrum sunscreen formulated with 2% trehalose and 2% niacinamide can help address oily and acne-prone skin while providing daily sun protection.

In two small multi-ethnic Brazilian populations with acne-prone and oily skin, researchers observed:

A 56% reduction in visible redness after 28 days

A 46% reduction in acne-related hyperpigmentation

Up to a 12% reduction in skin oiliness

A 10% reduction in visible shine

A 13% increase in skin hydration

High consumer satisfaction, with 90% reporting less skin oiliness and 78% reporting reduced acne marks

These findings demonstrate how multifunctional sunscreen formulations may help support the appearance of clearer, more balanced skin while protecting against UV exposure.

Niacinamide-containing sunscreen improves hydration and helps visibly reduce sunspots

A second studyii evaluated Neutrogena® Ultra Sheer Invisible Fluid Sunscreen Hydration Fluid 50, formulated with 2% niacinamide and vitamins C and E, in women with dry skin.

Researchers found that regular use was associated with:

A 22% improvement in skin hydration

Maintenance of skin barrier integrity

Significant improvements in skin tone uniformity and radiance

Reductions in visible facial spot size associated with hyperpigmentation

After 28 days of use, more than 90% of participants reported noticing increased skin hydration. Improvements in overall skin tone appearance and visible discoloration continued through 56 days.

Aveeno® Research: Colloidal Oat Supports Skin Barrier Health, Recovery and Eczema Care

Colloidal oat formulation supports skin recovery following UV-related damage

Oat and its concentrated components (avena sativa) have long been recognized for their skin-soothing properties. New researchiii further demonstrates how colloidal oat can support skin barrier function and recovery following UV exposure.

Preclinical and clinical studies evaluating formulations containing the Aveeno® brand’s proprietary Triple Oat Complex found:

Increased production of key skin barrier proteins, including filaggrin and loricrin

Preservation of these proteins following UV exposure

Faster skin recovery following application

Improved hydration and increased ceramide production

Together, these findings reinforce the important role of colloidal oat in supporting healthy, resilient skin.

Dermatologists report benefits of colloidal oat-based emollients alongside topical corticosteroids for eczema

An international surveyiv of 178 dermatologists and pediatric clinicians across Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States evaluated perceptions of an Aveeno® colloidal oat-based emollient used alongside topical corticosteroids in eczema management.

Among respondents:

87.6% reported frequently recommending a specific colloidal oat-based emollient alongside topical corticosteroids

92.7% reported observing steroid-sparing or steroid-optimization effects

Clinicians reported benefits related to skin barrier support, hydration and reduced treatment-related concerns

The findings highlight the perceived value of colloidal oat-based emollients as a complementary component of eczema care.

Regaine® Research: Earlier Use of 5% Minoxidil Associated with Greater Hair Regrowth in Male Androgenetic Alopecia

New analysisv suggests earlier intervention may improve hair regrowth outcomes

Androgenetic alopecia, the most common form of hair loss in men, affects an estimated 30% to 50% of men by age 50. New research from Regaine® examined how age and stage of hair loss may influence outcomes among men using 5% Minoxidil Topical Foam (MTF).

In a post-hoc analysis of a Phase III clinical trial, researchers assessed changes in non-vellus hair count after 16 weeks of treatment with Regaine® 5% Minoxidil Topical Foam. The analysis found greater hair regrowth among younger men and among those at earlier stages of hair loss based on the Norwood-Hamilton classification scale.

Key findings included:

Men aged 20 to 30 years experienced an average increase of 26.25 hairs from baseline after 16 weeks, compared with 19.93 hairs among men older than 30 years.

Men with Type III hair loss experienced an average increase of 23.06 hairs, compared with 18.70 hairs among men with more advanced Type IV and Type V hair loss.

Statistically significant improvements in hair regrowth versus placebo were observed across all hair loss classifications (p<0.002).

The analysis concluded that while 5% Minoxidil Topical Foam promoted hair regrowth across all ages and stages studied, greater regrowth was observed among younger men and those at earlier stages of androgenetic alopecia, highlighting the potential value of early intervention.

Additional Research and Scientific Exchange at EADV 2026

Additional new studies will further reinforce the research of Neutrogena®, Aveeno®, and Regaine® at EADV 2026. Neutrogena® will also sponsor an industry session entitled “Raising the Bar-rier: New Hydration Evidence in Compromised Skin” including industry experts Ted Lain MD, MBA, FAAD, Patrica Farris MD, FAAD, and Kenvue Head of Medical Affairs North America, Skin Health & Baby, Asha Patel Shah MD, MBA, FAAD.

NetApp and Oracle to Launch Fully Managed Cloud Storage Service for Demanding AI and Enterprise Workloads

SAN JOSE, Calif. & AUSTIN, Texas -

Secure, reliable, and performant NetApp storage is planned to be available as a native service to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure customers

(BUSINESS WIRE)--NetApp® (NASDAQ: NTAP), the Intelligent Data Infrastructure company, and Oracle today announced a new fully managed storage service that brings enterprise-grade NetApp storage natively to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The service will bring NetApp ONTAP® data management capabilities natively to OCI to help organizations simplify the migration and management of critical AI and enterprise workloads in the cloud.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure NetApp Storage Service is designed to be a fully managed OCI-native storage service that brings NetApp ONTAP data management capabilities to OCI. It helps enterprises migrate, run, protect, and modernize databases, enterprise applications, virtualized environments, EDA/HPC, regulated applications, and AI data pipelines while preserving familiar storage operations.

“Customers want the flexibility to move AI and enterprise workloads to the cloud without giving up operational simplicity, data management, and reliability,” said Pravjit Tiwana, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cloud Storage and Services at NetApp. “OCI NetApp Storage Service gives customers a native OCI experience while allowing them to use the ONTAP familiar capabilities for data protection, migration, governance, and multiprotocol access.”

Customers can manage OCI NetApp Storage Service through the OCI Console and SDKs, ONTAP APIs, and familiar operational workflows. Delivered natively on OCI, the service helps customers move existing ONTAP-based workloads to the cloud while minimizing application redesign and storage management changes. For enterprises running mission-critical workloads in large-scale and regulated industries, OCI NetApp Storage Service helps extend familiar storage capabilities to OCI with consistent data management, high availability, security, and predictable performance across on-premises and cloud environments.

“Enterprises shouldn't have to rebuild their data infrastructure to move to the cloud,” said Konstantinos (kp) Papamiltiadis, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “OCI NetApp Storage Service gives customers a trusted, familiar path to OCI, so they can focus on what the data does, not how it's managed.”

“By bringing a native ONTAP-based storage service to OCI, we are combining OCI’s scale and performance with NetApp’s enterprise data capabilities to empower customers to run mission-critical workloads,” said Alvaro Celis, Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial, Partner and Ecosystem Officer at NetApp. “This partnership enhances our ability to deliver meaningful customer value, especially in regulated industries, by making it easier for organizations to move, modernize, and protect their most critical applications on OCI.”

OCI NetApp Storage Service is planned for general availability within the next 12 months.

Lyft App Launches in Europe

North American riders can use their Lyft app when traveling in Europe

Key takeaways:

North American Lyft riders can now use one app in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. No need to download anything new.

New technology allows the Lyft app to integrate any third-party marketplace, laying the groundwork for future international growth.

Lyft has transformed from an everyday rideshare company into a global, multi-mobility platform.

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Starting today, Lyft (NASDAQ: LYFT) riders can use their Lyft app in cities across Europe. Early access to the Lyft app rolls out in Barcelona and Hamburg first; throughout October, the Lyft app will become available for riders to use in some of Europe’s largest cities including London, Rome, Paris, Berlin, Athens, and Warsaw. By the end of October riders visiting Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland, England, Scotland, Ireland, Austria, France, and Germany will have one go-to app when they cross the Atlantic, building on the foundations from this past summer beta testing the Lyft app in Europe.

“Millions of riders across North America trust Lyft to get them where they’re going every day. Now that same app works the moment they land in Europe. No need to download anything new,” said Sid Patil, Lyft’s Chief Rideshare and Marketplace Officer. “Every market we connect makes the network stronger for riders and drivers. This expansion takes us from being your neighborhood rideshare app to a global, multi-mobility platform.”

Behind the scenes, the team built a new backend framework that connects the Lyft rider app to a third-party marketplace, giving riders access to that marketplace’s driver supply. It was created specifically for Lyft’s expansion into Europe, and this launch is its first application, with the capacity to bring on more marketplaces in more countries.

Riders can use their same app, same account, and same payment methods they already use in North America when they travel to Europe. In the next year, riders will be able to choose if they want to pay in their home currency (e.g. U.S. dollars) or in the local currency where they’ve taken a ride (e.g. euros).

For now, European riders can continue using the Freenow by Lyft and Gett by Lyft apps that they know and love. And for drivers on those platforms, this launch brings a new source of demand: more rides as North American travelers use their Lyft app in Europe.

About Lyft

Whether it’s an everyday commute or a journey that changes everything, Lyft is driven by our purpose: to serve and connect. Founded in 2012, Lyft has grown into a global mobility platform offering a mix of rideshare, taxis, private hire vehicles, executive chauffeur services, car sharing, bikes, and scooters across six continents and thousands of cities. Millions of drivers have chosen to earn on billions of rides - helping to create a more connected world, with transportation options for everyone.

NetApp Enhances Data Sovereignty Controls to Keystone

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Wednesday, 30. September 2026 AETOSWire Print

Storage-as-a-Service will enable qualified European customers to use data sovereignty controls in support of their compliance and data residency journeys

(BUSINESS WIRE)--NetApp® (NASDAQ: NTAP), the Intelligent Data Infrastructure company, today announced NetApp Keystone Sovereign, which will enable qualified European customers to use data sovereignty controls in support of their compliance and data residency journeys. Enterprises will more easily be able to keep data and support within specified geographic boundaries.

As organizations modernize IT and adopt cloud-like operating models, customers in regulated industries face increasing pressure to keep sensitive data, support, and operations within defined geographic boundaries. For many European customers, sovereignty requirements now extend beyond data residency to include operational access, telemetry, and data flow transparency. With NetApp Keystone Sovereign, qualified European customers can now better address these requirements.

“Data sovereignty has become a strategic requirement as organizations move beyond asking where data resides to demanding greater control over the technical and operational conditions that govern it,” said Ivan Iannaccone, Vice President and General Manager, Keystone at NetApp. “With NetApp Keystone Sovereign, we are helping qualified European customers address these evolving expectations with additional regional, support, access, and data-handling controls designed to build trust and keep critical data and support within defined geographic boundaries.”

NetApp Keystone Sovereign is designed to support European customers that require stronger sovereignty assurances through regional, operational, support, and data-handling controls designed to help keep data and support within specified geographic boundaries with new capabilities including:

European-based data residency for relevant customer data, logs, backups, and telemetry where applicable

European-based support and escalation paths

European-controlled access / management processes

Clear documentation of telemetry, monitoring, and data flows

Contractual and legal structures that reinforce sovereignty expectations

“Data sovereignty is becoming a defining requirement for customers in regulated markets, particularly as organizations look for cloud-like consumption models that can still satisfy regional compliance and control expectations,” said Simon Robinson, Chief Analyst, Storage & Data Infrastructure at Omdia. “The market opportunity for offerings like NetApp Keystone Sovereign is emerging as customers move beyond generic data residency requirements toward broader assurances around technical oversight, operational access, and support boundaries. Solutions that can provide that clarity while preserving the flexibility of as-a-service infrastructure are well positioned to build trust and expand adoption in sovereignty-sensitive regions.”

Initial pilots for Keystone Sovereign will be available for Germany and France with additional countries planned to be added.

934 Embeds Bluefin Payment Security into Juno to Advance Secure, Connected Hospitality Payments

Partnership brings PCI-validated P2PE and tokenization into 934’s connected hospitality payment infrastructure

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bluefin, a global leader in payment and data security, and 934, a global provider of connected payment technology for the hospitality industry, today announced a partnership to integrate Bluefin’s payment security capabilities into Juno, 934’s hospitality payment platform.

Hospitality businesses increasingly operate across connected payment environments spanning hotels, restaurants, resorts and other guest experiences. Behind those interactions are multiple systems, workflows and payment technologies that must work together while protecting sensitive payment data.

Juno is designed to connect those experiences through a unified hospitality payment environment. By incorporating Bluefin’s security technology into the platform architecture, 934 can provide customers globally with access to PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) for card-present payments and tokenization for protecting sensitive payment data.

The result is a security-first approach in which payment protection is built into the infrastructure supporting the hospitality experience rather than added as a separate layer later.

“Hospitality businesses want to create simpler, more connected payment experiences for their guests without adding complexity behind the scenes,” said Christian Frei, Co-Founder and Chief Software Architect at 934. “Our work with Bluefin embeds security directly into the Juno architecture from day one. This gives our global customers a stronger foundation for protecting payment data, alongside acquirer-independent tokenization that allows them to route payments to any processor worldwide.”

Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE protects cardholder data from the point of interaction, helping prevent clear-text card data from entering merchant systems while significantly reducing PCI DSS scope for qualifying environments. Bluefin’s tokenization capabilities provide an additional layer of protection for sensitive data used across connected payment workflows.

Together, these capabilities allow 934 to pair the payment experience and connectivity provided through Juno with Bluefin’s security-first payment infrastructure.

“Hospitality is a perfect example of why payment security has to be considered as part of the infrastructure, not as an afterthought,” said Ruston Miles, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Bluefin. “Hotels, restaurants and other hospitality businesses are connecting more systems, more payment experiences and more technology than ever before. Our partnership with 934 brings security into that connected environment from the start, helping protect the data moving through it while giving Juno the flexibility to support the experiences its customers want to create.”

About Bluefin

Bluefin is a global leader in enterprise payment and data security infrastructure, helping organizations securely connect payment systems, applications, processors and devices through a vendor-agnostic platform. Combining PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE), vaultless tokenization, orchestration and centralized management, Bluefin enables enterprises to reduce PCI scope, simplify compliance and securely orchestrate payments across complex environments. With more than 300 partners, 40,000 businesses and over $350 billion in protected transactions annually, Bluefin provides the trusted infrastructure that connects modern payment ecosystems. About 934

934 is a Switzerland-based global hospitality payment infrastructure company, connecting hotel groups' PMS, POS, PSPs and terminals through a vendor-agnostic orchestration platform. The Juno Hospitality Suite combines multi-acquirer routing, PCI-compliant tokenization, automated reconciliation and centralized management, enabling operators to reduce PCI scope, cut gateway costs and settle across markets from one layer. With 23+ integration partners, properties across Europe and Latin America, over CHF 2 billion in orchestrated transaction volume annually and transaction volume growing over 30% month-on-month, 934 provides the infrastructure behind modern hospitality payments.
