(BUSINESS WIRE) - Printronix, Inc. announced its Board of Directors has appointed Werner Heid as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board effective immediately. Werner succeeds Randy Eisenbach, who is retiring as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board.

BBC World News Now in HD across Europe via Astra 19.2E

(BUSINESS WIRE) SES S.A. (NYSE Paris:SESG) (LuxX:SESG) today announced that BBC Global News Ltd has signed a long-term agreement to broadcast its international news channel free-to-air in High Definition (HD) on ASTRA at 19.2 degrees East.

The channel, an HD version of BBC World News in English, will be broadcast at 19.2 degrees East starting on April 1st on a multiplex operated and uplinked by SES from its headquarters in Betzdorf, Luxembourg.

SES reports that over 47 million, some 52% of European satellite homes, are now watching television in HD, more than half of which are served by the satellites at the 19.2 degrees East orbital position. In 2014, SES broadcast over 1,800 HD channels globally, and more than 500 in Europe.

Abu Dhabi Hosts GCC Security Education and Training Forum

On Sunday morning, the activities of the GCC Security Education and Training Forum kicked off at the Park Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi under the slogan “Competency Based Police Training”. The UAE is hosting this event for the first time and is organized by the Police College in cooperation with the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The five-day forum will witness the participation of cadets from police colleges, academies, and institutes from the GCC states.

Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Police College Deputy Director, attended the forum’s inauguration ceremony alongside department heads, a number of officers, Police College faculty; and officers form police colleges, academies, and institutes in the GCC states.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Khouri noted in his speech that the education and training sector in the GCC has witnessed unprecedented development over the recent years. He also noted that this development was the result of the vision of the wise leadership and of their continuous support for education and development, as they consider these to be the fundamental building blocks of capabilities and development.

He also explained that the police officer, regardless of his positions, feels pride for working in a profession that requires unrivaled qualifications. Among the most important objectives set to achieve a comprehensive security system, the police leadership emphasize the development of professional values through the construction of social communication channels, and through the strengthening of cooperation between police and society members.

MoI Concludes “No to Begging” Campaign

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) concluded its media awareness campaign under the title “No to Begging” on Saturday. The campaign was implemented by the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and received good response from the public via the different TV, radio and print media outlets, in addition to social networking sites and the MoI’s  social media pages.

Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior noted that the campaign managed to achieve its objectives in delivering its key message, which clearly reflects the UAE society’s rejection of the scourge of begging that tarnishes the bright and civilized image of the UAE. He also praised the role of the UAE Red Crescent and other charitable associations in the country in identifying the categories that are truly eligible for help; highlighting their commitment to humanitarian and charitable assistance to the needy families in the UAE or abroad. He called upon society members to donate their money through the appropriate channels to support humanitarian efforts carried out under the auspices of the competent entities.

CAMAC Energy Concludes Oyo-8 Completion Operations

Ready to Commence Oil Production

HOUSTON - Tuesday, March 31st 2015 [ME NewsWire]

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- CAMAC Energy Inc. (“CAMAC” or “the Company”) (NYSE MKT:CAK) announced today it has finished completion operations on the Oyo-8 well, located offshore Nigeria, and is now ready to commence oil production.

Oyo-8 is hooked up to the FPSO Armada Perdana owned by Bumi Armada Berhad (“Bumi”). However, CAMAC has been informed by Bumi that the FPSO is not ready to receive oil production from the well due to class certification inspections of the vessel’s mooring lines being conducted by the American Bureau of Shipping (“ABS”). Bumi estimates these inspections to be completed within two weeks, at which time Oyo-8 will be allowed to produce into the FPSO.

In the meantime, CAMAC is demobilizing the Sedco Express drilling rig from the Oyo-8 location and the rig will then mobilize to the Oyo-6 well location to continue its planned Oyo field operations. The Company does not anticipate further changes to the project schedule of the Oyo-7 well as a result of the FPSO inspection delays.
